Hadimba Temple Manali 

Hadimba Temple Manali: Manali has many attractions but the main centre of interest, historically and archeologically, is undoubtedly the Hadimba Temple . This temple dedicated to goddess Hadimba or Hadimba Devi with a finely wrought four – tiered pagoda roof, dating back to 1553, is built around a natural cave, which enshrines the footprints of the goddess Hadimba.

Triund Hill
Triund is the crown jewel of dharamshala , situated in the laps of dhauladhar mountains, it has the perfect view of the dhauladhar mountains on one side and kangra valley on the other. Triund is a very popular trekking spot . Triund attracts a lot of tourist every year from India and all over the world .
Triund trek can be described as a tranquil trek which can be easily accomplished by almost all age groups . Triund has an unambiguous byway which goes through a beautiful mixed forest of oak, deodar and rhododendron . Trek is fairly easy for the first five kilometers but the last one kilometer may require a bit of toil , the last one kilometer is popularly know as the “22 curves” as it has 22 tiring curves before you finally reach Triund. Along the way there are many small chai shops where one can refresh during the hike. The traipse is worth it as the panorama when you reach triund is awe-inspiring and exhilarating .Triund is come-at-able for most part of the year except for when the byway to triund is cut off by heavy snowfall in the months of January and February . Trip to triund can be planed diversely.

Monasteries in Manali

Manali also houses three Tibetan monasteries, that have been built recently. There are three recently built Tibetan monasteries at Manali.
The Tibetans living around these Monasteries in Manali offer a vide range of Tibetan Handicrafts and Carpets to the visitors to buy. Two of these Monasteries are located in the main down-town of Manali and one Monastery in Aleo. Aleo is located on the Left Bank of River Beas in Manali.

Solang Valley Manali

Solang Valley in Manali is located at a distance of 13 kms in a side valley at the top of the Kullu valley is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. Solang Valley has fine ski slopes. The Mountaineering Institute of Manali has installed a ski lift for training purpose. Located here is a hut and guest house of the Mountaineering and Allied sports Institute, Manali. Now a few hotels have also come up. The winter skiing festival is organised in Solang Valley. Sking and Paragliding are two main activities are organised here. Apart from this many other adventure sports are available like Zorbing, Horse riding & Snow Motor Bikes riding etc.

Rohtang Pass Manali

Rohtang Pass is 51 kms from Manali. Located at a height of 3980 Mtrs, on highway to Keylong/Leh. The Pass offers a panorama and spectacular mountain view. once served as a crucial trade route, and still remains the gateway to the districts of Lahaul and Spiti.The Pass is open from mid April to November each year, and provides wonderful views of the entire surroundings.

Viceregal Lodge
Formerly the residence of the British Viceroy of India, The Viceregal Lodge, also known as Rashtrapati Niwas is located on the Observatory Hills of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

State Museum
Set on top of a hill in Shimla, the State Museum is housed in a colonial building, known as Inverarm. One has to hike about 1500m to get to the museum. It has a rich collection of anthropological items, early 19th century Pahari miniature paintings and numismatic finds on display. It also houses a collection of bronze idols from the temples scattered all around Himalayas, contemporary oil paintings, which capture some of the most picturesque scenes from the Himalayas, and a small collection of the deity masks, found in the valleys of Kullu and Sarahan, dating back to 19th and 20th century.

The Ridge
At the center of the town is The Shimla Ridge, which offers spectacular views of the mountain peaks of the land. The Ridge is a spacious open space that runs from east to west along the Mall, which is yet another famous tourist destination. It connects to the Scandal point on the west. The Indian Institute of Advanced Study
The Indian Institute of Advanced Study is housed in the famous Viceregal Lodge situated on top of the Observatory Hill. Viceregal Lodge is also called Rashtrapati Niwas. The building was constructed between 1880 and 1888 during British reign. The year 1965 saw the establishment of Indian Institute of Advanced Study here by Dr. Radhakrishnan.
